Learn about our adoption process, requirements, fees, and how you can help.
Adoption
Our adoption process is simple and designed to make sure every animal goes to a loving, permanent home:
- Browse our animals β Visit our Animals page and find a companion that fits your lifestyle.
- Fill out an application β Send us a message on Facebook or email us with your details.
- Home check β We conduct a brief home-suitability check (this can often be done via photos or video call).
- Meet & greet β Arrange a visit to meet your chosen animal at the shelter.
- Sign the adoption agreement β Complete our adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
- Take them home! β Your new family member goes home with you, fully vaccinated and dewormed.
The entire process typically takes 3β7 days. We’re here to guide you every step of the way.
Yes, we charge a modest adoption fee to help cover the cost of the animal’s care while at the shelter. This includes:
- Vaccinations (complete shots appropriate for age)
- Deworming treatment
- Veterinary health check
- Spay/neuter (where applicable and age-appropriate)
- Shelter food and care during their stay
Fees vary depending on the species and age of the animal. Please contact us directly for current rates. All fees go directly back into caring for the animals still waiting for their forever homes.
We want every adoption to be a lasting, happy match. Our requirements are:
- Age β Adopters must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid ID β A government-issued ID is required to complete the adoption agreement.
- Stable living situation β You should have a home environment suitable for the animal you’re adopting (e.g., adequate space, safe fencing for dogs).
- Landlord permission β If you’re renting, written or verbal confirmation from your landlord that pets are allowed.
- Agreement to our terms β Signing our adoption contract, which includes a commitment to provide proper food, shelter, veterinary care, and love.
We do not discriminate based on housing type β apartment dwellers are welcome to adopt smaller animals! We assess each situation individually.
Surrender & Rescue
We accept animal surrenders on a space-available basis. If you are unable to keep your pet and need to find them a new home, please reach out to us first β we will do our best to help.
When surrendering an animal, please provide:
- Any vet records you have (vaccination history, medical notes)
- Information about the animal’s temperament, diet, and habits
- The reason for surrender (this helps us match them with the right adopter)
Please do not abandon animals. If you are in a difficult situation, contact us and we will work with you to find a humane solution. You can message us on Facebook or send us an email.

About
Angel’s Shelter was begun by Aster Bedico as a place for animals left behind after the Taal volcano exploded in 2020. These were rescued by PETA and passed on to him for care.
Afterwards, he discovered many unwanted animals, such as blind dogs, kittens on the streets,
To make animal rescue sustainable, he envisioned a shelter where vegetation could also grow and feed the animals. He and his friends converted a dump site and turned it into an organic garden, growing food and medicinal plants that the animals would instinctively eat when they get sick.
The animals are visited regularly by the kids who engaged in art inside the enclosure, benefiting the residents and the developing the children’s capacity to identify animal behaviour and establish harmony with nature.
